HEALTH AND SAFETY
The health and safety of every one directly or indirectly involved with our operations is the primary concern of our management team.
In 2016 Aquamax was audited by the ACC against the Workplace Safety Management Practices Standards and awarded Primary Accreditation.
We operate in accordance with the Australian/New Zealand Standard for High pressure water jetting systems, AS/NZS 4233.1:2013.
Key operational procedures set down in the standard include:
- Use of Kevlar reinforced blasting suits for all gunning work
- Operation of guns with less than 250 N back force
- Use of hose shrouds and hose restraints
- All hose hours logged on national hose database
- Strict assessment and documentation of all hazards and controls on every job
Our health and safety system is overseen by our Health and Safety Committee chaired by the CEO. The committee includes representation from management and operational employees from every division.
We view health and safety as an area requiring continuous improvement.
ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT
Our process and operations meet the most rigorous environmental standards.
Surface preparation is by its very nature a ‘dirty’ job. If you use chemicals you risk contaminating the environment. If you’ve ever been past a building site where sand blasting is operating, you’ll know just how noisy and messy it can be.
Environmental benefits of the Aquamax water jetting approach include:
- Minimisation of the water required
- Minimal run-off and stringent containment practices
- Disposal of waste to council certified disposal sites
- No use of chemicals
- Energy efficiency
- Flexibility to access hard-to-reach work sites
- Use of electric units if required to minimise noise
Whatever your requirements, Aquamax is the environmentally sensitive solution.
