In this edition we highlight our services that might be of use during your summer shutdown, our Waterview tunnel cleaning development, and further expansion of our hydrodemolition capability. In this edition, we look at getting more out of concrete with stencilling.
Summer Shutdown Cleaning
Are you hoping to perform cleaning and maintenance during your summer shutdown period? If so we may be able to help with the following:
• Hot and cold-water washdown and blasting
• Etching concrete walkways to provide anti-slip
• Warehouse line marking removal
• Paint and corrosion blasting for repaint
Waterview Tunnel Cleaning
We have been working with the Auckland Motorway Alliance and Waterview Tunnel Joint Operation to develop and operate a solution for high-speed wash down of tunnel walls. We have developed a hot-wash system using only pure water delivered through high-pressure rotating nozzles.
The system is coupled to a water tanker and driven through the tunnel during overnight closures to complete a clean in a single night – 5km of clean walls in 5 hours! This is a great example of working collaboratively with a customer to develop a cost-effective, tailored solution. The system is also employed cleaning the Johnston Hill and Victoria Park tunnels.
Construction Services
We have added a further hydrodemolition pump to our fleet bringing the total to six across the country. This capability is allowing us to take on substantial projects such as wharfs and large bridges. Other construction services are listed below:
